Mr. Belot began his training under Hanshi Robert Bowles. in 1977, reaching the rank of 6th Degree Black Belt under Master Bowles in 2003. In addition to his ranking in Karate, Mr Belot is ranked in Okinawan Weaponry and has furthered his study through Judo and JuJitsu. Mr Belot is also a licensed International Referee.

Training under Master Bowles led to the fortunate meeting and Subsequent training with Master Robert Trias, founder of Karate in America and teacher of Master Bowles. This valuable training helped Mr. Belot to win two World Championships in 1989 and 1990, as well as many state and regional championships. Mr. Belot believes in blending all aspects of traditional Martial Arts to establish a well rounded education, a study that will strengthen body, mind and spirit.
